Word is that Sting specifically requested Charles Robinson to be the referee for his match last night against Triple H. The two go back to their WCW days, and Robinson is reportedly very well respected.

WWE Referee Nearly Loses Thumb in Saudi Arabia

- WWE referee Charles Robinson nearly lost his thumb in an accident while on the company's Saudi Arabian tour. TMZ reports that Robinson was setting up the ring on Friday and, by Robinson's admission, tried to rush through the job.

Robinson sliced his finger and says it was so bad that he nearly lost the thumb, but luckily WWE doctor Chris Amann stitched him up in time
