Bobby Heenan Undergoes Surgery Today

WWE Hall of Famer "Mean" Gene Okerlund posted the following on Twitter today:
"Be sure to keep @WWE Hall of Famer, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan in your thoughts today. He is having an important surgery. GO"
Okerlund also re-tweeted a tweet from David Herro on Twitter about the nature of Heenan's surgery taking place today:
"Please keep my friend, Bobby Heenan in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow as he undergoes reconstructive surgey on the equipment in his jaw."
Heenan has gone through a series of health issues relating to his throat and jaw for well over a decade. Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in late-2001.

Bobby Heenan cancels appearance due to health issues

WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan cancelled his scheduled appearance at the Alamo City Comic Con that will be held September 26-28 in San Antonio, Texas. Telly Bistis passed along the following note.
"We have been informed by Cynthia Heenan, wife of legendary WWE Hall of Famer Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, that Bobby will not be able to appear at this years 'Alamo City Comic Con' in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Heenan was scheduled to appear later this month for 'Clutch City Productions' at one of the biggest conventions in Texas, however Mr. Heenan has canceled his appearance due to health reasons. We ask that you keep Bobby in your prayers

Bobby Heenan Suffers Broken Shoulder

- Bobby Heenan reportedly broke his shoulder after he fell while getting out of bed on the 24th of this month. Heenan was in Las Vegas for a wedding, which he had to miss due to the hospital visit his fall and break required.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Heenan's bones are very brittle due to the cancer treatments he's received; as previously reported he broke his back recently after a fall. He is said to still be in "very good spirits" though.
