Dragon Gate talents from Japan will be returning to DGUSA for the May events in New York City. EVOLVE runs on May 9th in Queens, NY and May 10th in Brooklyn, NY. The reason the Japanese performers did not make the show was because DGUSA was waiting for renewed work visas to come through and they finally came through, but one day too late for arrangements to be made for talents to come from Japan. The issue was on the Japanese end and Dragon Gate in Japan didn't announce their own lineups for this past weekend until the last minute as they had been waiting to see whether they would be sending talents over to the US.
- Gabe Sapolsly praised Highspots for their help in getting Bad Influence and Masato Tanaka for their shows. Bad Influence appeared in a non-iPPV dark match (due to their TNA contracts) while Tanaka faced Chris Hero on Friday, and then was involved in the tag team tournament on Saturday prior to working for WrestleCon.
- The company was pleased with Low Ki's return, and is open to using him in the future. Sapolsky has stated that he'd love to see Ki take a mentor role in their locker room.
- Teddy Hart was booked as a last minute surprise to give fans one more additional "make-good" after the Japanese situation went down. His attitude was reportedly good, and it is "50/50" on whether he will return or not.
- Gabe Sapolsly was reportedly pleased with the Friday Night DGUSA show, feeling that it was one of their best shows ever. He was not as happy about the Saturday show and was really down on it after.
- There were no major injuries coming out of the weekend. Most were tired, as they had worked anywhere from three to five matches between Thursday and Friday.
Opinionated View- Given that crowd went dead every time Teddy showed up I would say don't book him. Plus the guy is a ticking time bomb he might have been good this time next time who knows.
