ROH All-Star Extravaganza VI Results

A video package introduced the show hyping ROH's all-stars… In the arena, the camera panned the crowd as Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino welcomed viewers to the show. They hyped the card before throwing to what was supposed to be the first match, Hanson vs. Mark Briscoe, but instead The House of Truth's music hit and ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal strolled down to the ring along with Truth Martini and Seleziya.

The crowd chanted for ACH and Lethal encouraged the chant. Truth Martini ran down athleticism, charisma, and heart, which is what ACH stands for. Martini then revealed that ACH isn't there tonight. He said it was 8:30 this morning when ACH e-mailed the company saying he couldn't make it. Martini criticized him and the fans for respecting a man like that. He said ACH stands for a crack head.

Cedric Alexander's music hit and he made his way to the ring. He took a mic and said that he doesn't have an opponent tonight, and not too long ago, he won a Golden Gauntlet to earn a title shot. He said he feels like he deserves that shot tonight. Lethal told him to hold on. He said the reality is that Alexander hasn't done a damn thing in the company and never will. He said you can't come from the bottom of the barrel and demand a title shot. He said if Cedric gets in the ring with him, Cedric will end up like Taven and ACH; nowhere to be seen. He told Cedric to get the hell out.

Cedric said that he wasn't even talking to Jay, he was talking to Seleziya because she's got bigger balls than Jay. Jay got angry and said he accepts Cedric's stupid offer. He said he's going to embarrass him, and recommended he call his mother. Lethal threw a superkick, but Cedric ducked out of the ring and Seleziya took the superkick. The House of Truth tended to her while Cedric backed up the ramp…

The commentators then went to a replay of the tag team war between War Machine and The Briscoes from ROH TV and put it over as a rough, brawling feud. Mark Briscoe made his entrance for the first match of the night. Hanson was out next, but the crowd chanted "Man Up" through the early part of his entrance. The Code of Honor was followed, but it led to an intense staredown and shoving to start the match.

1. Mark Briscoe vs. Hanson. Mark took control early with some funky dropkicks, but got sent up and over the top rope by Hanson. The big man Hanson hit the ropes and took Mark out with a tope suicida, before taking control in the ring.

Mark regained momentum as the commentators strayed from the action. The two men traded shots and counters in the middle of the ring before Hanson cartwheeled passed Mark and wiped him out with a lariat for a two-count. Hanson hit a modified sidewalk slam and a big splash for another two count. Hanson borrowed a move from Rowe as he lifted Mark in a suplex and then dropped him down GTS style for another two-count.

Moments later, the two squared off in the middle of the ring with the yay/boo forearms. Mark fired up with Redneck Kung-Fu and then hit a German suplex. Mark knocked Hanson off the apron and went to the top rope before diving off with a high crossbody to the outside of the ring. He followed up with a Nestea Plunge for good measure, and then brought the fight back in the ring. Again, Mark went up top, but Hanson caught another crossbody attempt and teed off on Mark. Hanson went to the top rope and missed a moonsault, allowing Mark to come down across his back with the Froggy-bow for the win.

Mark Briscoe pinned Hanson in about 8:45

The two men followed the Code of Honor after the match as well and Mark left the ring to Hanson. The crowd chanted and cheered for Hanson after Mark left….

The commentators discussed that Jay Briscoe had not been pinned in two years. They spent some time on Elgin as well and said he wants his reign to end up among the ranks of Bryan and Punk. Tomasso Ciampa stormed into the ring and Bobby Cruise took off scurrying to the ramp. Ciampa took a mic and said he's been trying to get in touch with Bobby to say he's sorry.

Nigel McGuinness came out and said this wasn't the time nor place. Ciampa went off about how it's never his time. He began to rant about being left off the New Japan shows but Nigel had production cut the microphone. The crowd chanted "let him talk" and booed when he was forced to leave the ring. ..

The hometown team of Josh Alexander and Ethan Gabriel Owens made their entrance. Alexander wears amateur headgear. The Decade's duo of Whitmer and Page were out next. Watanabe and Coleman out next. New gear for Watanabe (like a cross between Nakamura and Goto) and he's carrying a paper fan. Evans and Moose were out next. Apparently a coin was tossed to see who starts.

2. Ethan Gabriel Owens & Josh Alexander vs. Adam Page & BJ Whitmer vs. Caprice Coleman & Takaaki Watanabe vs. R.D. Evans & Moose in a Four-Corner Survival Tag. The Decade started out with Watanabe before Coleman came in and was quickly knocked to ringside. Apparently this tag has lucha rules because suddenly Evans declared himself the legal man. He knocked Whitmer to ringside and Alexander came in all fired up, but Evans thought not and tagged out to Moose. Alexander fired away at Moose but Moose ran right through him. EGO managed to get the better of Moose by tripping him with a gradeschool tabletop.

There were a bunch of quick switches with the Toronto team and The Decade on the outside to take a big moonsault from Coleman. Evans stood on Moose's shoulders and dove onto everyone at ringside. Moose then hit a DVD onto Watanabe that sent him ringside onto everyone. In the ring, Watanabe got a near-fall on Whitmer with a German suplex, but the numbers got the better of Watanabe. Page told Whitmer to dive onto everyone at ringside, but Whitmer just chucked Page over the top onto everyone instead. Moose followed up with a flip over the ropes onto the pile which garnered a "Moose" chant.

Alexander hit a rolling elbow and EGO hit a diving kick, but they got taken out by a Coleman tornado DDT. There was a bunch of rapid-fire offense during which Whitmer avoided Moose's spear and Evans took it instead. Way too much action to capture, but there was a great spot where EGO spun a guy into a backbreaker from Alexander on his way to a dive to the outside. Back in the ring, EGO and Alexander hit a crazy double spinebuster, but Evans slid in the ring with a crucifix pin and stole the win.

R.D. Evans and Moose won the four-way survival in about 9:30.

The Code of Honor was followed as the crowd chanted "undefeated" at Evans…

The commentators revealed that the team of Kazarian and Daniels are now known as The Addiction. They threw to a replay of The Decade costing The Addiction a match at Field of Honor. No Code of Honor for this one as Kaz and Daniels came out brawling.

3. The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs. The Decade (Roderick Strong & Jimmy Jacobs w/ BJ Whitmer & Adam Page). Daniels hit a suicide dive in the opening seconds, but The Decade took control in the ring by the minute-mark. Kaz pulled Strong to ringside and The Addiction hit a shoot kick/sliding lariat combo. Daniels dropped Kaz onto Strong before following up with a Lionsault for a two-count.

Kaz hit his springboard leg drop and a slingshot DDT on Jacobs, but when he attempted the DDT on Roddy, Roddy caught him and hit a backbreaker for a quick two-count. Jacobs blew a kiss to Daniels and momentum was on the side of The Decade. Strong bodyslammed Kaz and then bodyslammed Jacobs onto Kaz for another two-count. The Decade isolated Kaz and continued to work him over.

Strong hit an Angle Slam and then used an electric chair to drop Jacobs into a senton on Kaz. They continued to get the heat on Kaz in their corner with Whitmer and Page getting in on the scrap behind the ref's back. The crowd began to grow restless just before Kaz finally evaded all attacks and made the hot tag to Daniels. Daniels took out both Decade guys with clotheslines and got a two-count off a blue thunder bomb. Jacobs hit a diving Ace Crusher and Roddy followed up with a half-nelson backbreaker for a two-count on Daniels. They followed up with a Death by Roderick/spear combo, but by the time I looked up at the screen, Addiction had regained control with several tandem moves before finishing off with a flipping release back suplex from Kaz into a double knee from Daniels.

The Addiction beat the Decade in about 11:00.

Roderick was about to tee-off on Adam Page out of frustration, but BJ Whitmer intervened and actually stood up for Page. This ended up with Roddy and Whitmer exchanging words while being separated by Jacobs.

The commentators threw to a video package hyping Adam Cole vs. AJ Styles. Cole questioned how AJ can be considered the best if he's never been ROH Champion. He said it's a dream match but it'll be AJ's nightmare. There were no comments from AJ in the promo. Adam Cole was out first for their matchup. AJ Styles was out next to the pop of the night to this point. The commentators agreed that AJ Styles is probably the best wrestler in the world right now. Code of Honor followed as the crowd chanted "AJ Styles." There was a vocal minority in support of Adam Cole as well.

4. AJ Styles vs. Adam Cole. Cole spat in AJ's face when the ref called for the first clean break in the ropes. The two began by trading matwork to set the pace slowly out of the gate. Cole sat in a headlock and fired off an "Adam Cole Bay Bay!" after getting the better of AJ with a shoulder block, but AJ came right back with his drop-down, leapfrog, dropkick spot to a nice reaction. He hit a jumping knee drop and got an early chance at the Calf Killer, but Cole managed to scramble to the ropes.

AJ hit a pendulum backbreaker and sold the knee for just a split-second after hitting the move. The commentators said it was hit age. AJ hopped up to the second rope, but Cole shoved him and AJ went toppling to ringside. Cole whipped AJ into the barricades and then brought the fight back in the ring. Cole ran the ropes like he was going to do something, but stopped short and took a chinlock to the ire of the crowd.

AJ reversed an early Figure-Four attempt but Cole came right back with a Shining Wizard for a two-count. Cole whipped AJ into the turnbuckle sternum-first twice, but on the third AJ went over the top and caught Cole with the springboard flying forearm and both guys were down. Back on their feet, AJ hit his flurry  of strikes and then hit a fireman's carry dropped into a neckbreaker across the knee. Moments later, Cole hit the same maneuver but it didn't look very good.

AJ went to the second rope for the Phenomenon DDT, but Cole superkicked his knee out. Cole went to ringside and whipped AJ's leg into the ringpost before hooking in the Figure-Four around the post. The crowd let Cole know that he didn’t have it applied properly, and so Cole released it, reapplied, and took a bow for the crowd. AJ heavily sold his leg back in the ring.

AJ looked for a kip-up rana, but Cole twisted AJ over and hooked in the Figure-Four leglock in the middle of the ring. AJ managed to make it to the ropes and force the break. Action went to the ring apron where Cole looked for a German, but AJ reversed into a vertical suplex onto the apron. The crowd rallied with "Let's go AJ" chants as AJ went to the top rope with Cole down in the ring. AJ connected with the 450 splash, but he rolled through and sold his knee rather than going for the pin.

AJ hit a forearm in the corner, but Cole reversed with a superkick to the gut and hit his brainbuster onto the knee for a near-fall. Cole went to the second rope and looked for the Destroyer, but AJ rolled through and connected with the Styles Clash. AJ sold his leg briefly, but scrambled into the pinfall. Cole managed to get his foot on the bottom rope before the three count.

AJ went to the top rope but Cole crotched him and went for a German superplex. After the first failed attempt, Cole hit a release German superplex and followed up with the Florida Key in the middle of the ring for a wicked near-fall. AJ struggled to his feet where he was met with several forearms from Cole. Cole talked trash before AJ began to fire back into the yay/boo forearm spot with AJ getting great support from the Toronto crowd. Great heat for Cole as well.

Cole hit a bicycle kick, AJ reversed with an enzugiri, Cole hit a superkick, and AJ hit the Pele, but Cole fell into two-count on top of Styles. Cole went to the top rope, but AJ connected with another Pele which rocked Cole. AJ teed off with repeated headbutts, but Cole fired back with shots of his own. AJ hooked for a superplex, but after some back and forth he altered into a Bloody Sunday (lifting single-underhook brainbuster) off the second turnbuckle to secure the three-count.

AJ Styles defeated Adam Cole in about 23:15.

AJ celebrated and prepared to leave when referee Todd Sinclair called AJ back in the ring to follow the Code of Honor. AJ obliged and helped Cole back to his feet in the ring, but once he did, Cole refused to shake his hand and spat at his feet. Cole ducked out of the ring and left AJ to get one more pop before leaving the arena…

Intermission. A music video played showing all of the highlights the match where The Bucks beat reDRagon to win the ROH Tag Titles. These guys are just off-the-charts good together. Another video aired showing the highlights of reDRagon winning the belts back from The Bucks in New York.

Back in the arena, Nigel McGuinness made his way to the commentary table to join Corino and Kelly. They discussed the three title matches that are set to round out the show. They then hyped that Maria Kanellis was going to show us what's under her trench coat. OK.

Michael Bennett's music hit and he came out in red chinos along with Maria in a tight red trench coat. In the ring, Maria introduced herself and said she has an announcement of biblical proportions. But first, she got down on her knees said "Thy Kingdom Come." She said that prayer gets her through every day, and her revelation is that "Matt is coming back." Steve Corino popped big.

Michael Bennett took the mic and said he's showing everyone what's under Maria's trench coat. He enticed the crowd and finally revealed that she has covered Jay Briscoe's World Title in pink fur and had an image of Mike and Maria kissing on it. He said it is no longer the Iconic Title, it is now the Title of Love. The crowd booed and Bennett uninvited everyone to his wedding. He said they're going to consummate their title right there in Toronto. HE dropped the title and she did some sexy stuff with it, but Mark Briscoe ran out and chased Mike and Maria off. He took a mic and said they're lucky Jay is prepping for his World Title match, but when Jay sees it, it's Bennett's ass…

The commentators recapped the changes in the ROH TV Title match before entrances were underway. Cedric Alexander was out first, followed by Jay Lethal and his entourage. Both guys got formal in-ring introductions for the title match. Truth had Bobby Cruise include that Jay Lethal is "the greatest first generation wrestler." Code of Honor was adhered-to.

5. Cedric Alexander vs. Jay Lethal (w/ Truth Martini & Seleziya) for the ROH World TV Title. Cedric drilled Lethal with a kick at the bell and then hit a suicide dive that he almost botched. He chopped Jay Lethal all over the arena before bringing the action back in the ring. Cedric hit a bodyslam and knee drop, but Lethal came right back with an armdrag floated over into a dropkick to take control. Lethal fired back with some chops of his own and didn't let up as he connected with a suplex.

Lethal knocked Cedric off the apron with a triangle dropkick and then hit a suicide dive. Back in the ring, Alexander regained control with a single-leg dropkick. For what it's worth, I'm getting the first skips of the night in my feed but so far they haven't caused me to miss anything. Hang in there, UStream! Cedric still had momentum as action went to ringside once again and he whipped Lethal into the barricades. More feed skipping

I backed out and reloaded the page which seemed to help. The ref was distracted allowing Truth to hit Cedric with the Book of Truth when he attempted a springboard maneuver. Lethal was in control at ringside as Truth took out his phone and took a picture of Lethal posing with Cedric. Truth wanted a picture with Cedric too, but Cedric goozled Truth. Lethal regained control until Cedric hit a diving tornado DDT back in the ring.

The two traded yay/boo shots before Cedric connected with Three Amigos and gave a shimmy while the crowd chanted "Eddie." Cedric lifted Lethal up for an Air Raid, but wound him up and twisted it into a reverse STO for a near-fall. Lethal tried to reverse a springboarding Cedric into the Lethal Combo, but Cedric reversed that and connected with his diving gamengiri. Cedric went to the top rope and dove off, but Lethal caught him right in the Koji Clutch. Cedric managed to make the ropes.

Lethal signaled Lethal Injection but changed plans and hit the Lethal Combo for a near-fall. Lethal pretended like he was going for a Sharpshooter, but dropped it and set up for Sweet Chin Music. Cedric reversed, crotched Truth on the top rope, and got a near-fall on Lethal. Cedric hoisted Lethal onto the top rope and followed him, but got knocked to the mat. Lethal taunted which allowed Alexander to pop up with an uppercut. Both guys went to the top rope for a super-duper Frankensteiner. Cedric went back to the top rope when Seleziya interfered. Cedric managed to send a Lethal dropkick into Seleziya and he connected with the Lumbar Check, but Lethal was able to get his foot on the rope an instant before the three-count.

Cedric looked for a rack, but Lethal reversed and yelled "Taven" before hitting Matt Taven's finish The Climax. He waited for Cedric to get back to his feet and then nailed the Lethal Injection for the pinfall.

Jay Lethal over Cedric Alexander in about 15:45 to retain the ROH World TV Title.

Truth tended to the knocked-out Seleziya and wouldn't let the refs near her. The commentators threw to a video package of the promos that both Elgin and Briscoe cut intertwined…

Jay Briscoe made his entrance to a decent reaction. ROH Champion Michael Elgin was out next draped in the Canadian flag to a pretty big hometown pop. Formal in-ring introductions for both competitors. They shook hands, but Jay shoved Elgin back. No retaliation from Elgin.

6. Jay Briscoe vs. Michael Elgin for the ROH World Championship. Both guys came out trading shots out of the gate before Elgin backed Jay into the corner and wore him down with rapid boots. Jay got a boot up on the other side of the ring and began to control the pace. Jay got hung up on the middle rope and Elgin came off the second turnbuckle with a summersault leg drop to regain control. The crowd chanted "We want tables."

Jay tried firing back with headbutts, but Elgin put him down with a bicycle kick and a running double-knee in the corner. Elgin hit his delayed vertical suplex and looked for his deadlift superplex moments later, but had to change plans and hit a dropkick that knocked Briscoe to ringside. The two traded forearm shots at ringside and both were down after a roaring elbow from Jay.

Back on their feet, Elgin drove Jay into the barricades twice before Jay reversed the whip and sent Elgin crashing into the barricades himself. Jay began to search under the ring but came up empty on his first attempt as the two continued to brawl around ringside and the commentators talk about how referee Todd Sinclair was being very lenient with the ring-out count. Elgin went under the ring and retrieved a table to the delight of the previously chanting fans.

They teased a suplex through a different table before Elgin hit an STO onto an open chair at ringside. Back in the ring, they traded reversals, but Elgin managed to connect with a bridging wheelbarrow German for a two-count. Elgin set up for the bucklebomb but Jay reversed with several boots to the head and a roaring elbow. Jay hit the cranking neckbreaker for a two-count and began to sell the effects of the match to this point.

A short time later, Elgin hit a diving Codebreaker and after two misses, a wicked lariat for a two-count. The battle went to the top rope where Briscoe looked for a Sunset bomb, but changed plans and hit a DVD for another two-count. Jay made his first attempt for the J-Driller, but Elgin reversed into a Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Jay made the roped and they took the fight onto the apron above the table. Elgin set up for a DVD, but Jay slid off and hit the J-Driller off the apron through the table. The crowd popped huge and chanted "holy shit" as Jay did everything he could to lift the lifeless Elgin back into the ring. Jay got the cover, but Elgin managed to kick out before three.

The crowd let loose with dueling chants but Jay wasted a bunch of time waiting for Elgin to get back to his feet. Jay fired away with methodical right hands and the commentators questioned the strategy of Jay. Jay continued to fire away, but he ran into a backfist from Elgin. Elgin hit the bucklebomb and set up for his finisher, but Jay hit the J-Driller and secured the three-count to win the match.

Jay Briscoe pinned Michael Elgin in about 21:00 to win the ROH World Championship.

Elgin was crushed when he came-to and realized what had happened and saw Jay celebrating with the belt. The two squared off and Elgin ripped it out of his hands, only to put it around his waist as a sign of respect. Jay left the arena with the title and Elgin continued to sell disappointment in the ring... A brief video hyped Matt Sydal's return to ROH on September 27 at the ROH TV taping.

The Young Bucks were out first for the main event followed by tag champs reDRagon. The two jawed back-and-forth while following the Code. The Bucks are donning their Bullet Club gear.

7. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) in a Two-out-of-Three Falls match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Things popped off early into a brawl at ringside with The Bucks sending The Dragons crashing into the barricades. They hit their double-team hip toss and dropkicks at ringside, and then Matt followed up with the handspring backrake. Kyle O'Reilly pulled a hockey stick out of nowhere to briefly take control for his team, but The Bucks flew the ropes with tandem dives and took control in the ring. I lost my feed but reloading the page fixed it again.

The Bucks hit their double-team neckbreaker/gutbuster and then knocked Kyle to ringside. Matt hoisted Nick onto the top rope and he soared onto reDRagon at ringside with a moonsault. Matt was driven into the barricade, but Nick ran wild on both Dragons in the ring with a slingshot X-Factor and a back-handspring moonsault through the ropes onto Kyle at ringside. Nick hit the Swanton on Bobby in the ring for a two-count. Kyle came in with a hockey stick and cracked Nick without the ref seeing. They hit Chasing the Dragon to secure the first fall.

reDRagon took the first fall in about 6:30.

There was no break between falls and reDRagon continued to isolate Nick in the ring. More feed issues. Kyle wore kick out with some vicious looking knee strikes and The Dragons kept the heat on Nick. Nick managed to connect with a desperation superkick and make the hot tag to Matt. Matt came in crazy with offense on both Dragons. Nick killed Bobby with a soccer kick at ringside and The Bucks looked to hit The Indytaker, but Nick was pulled off the apron. The Dragons hit a running knee strike/Regal-plex combo for a near-fall on Matt. Nick re-entered the ring and The Bucks dished out a handful of superkicks to the Dragons.

Matt  set up for the tombstone and Nick ran down the apron connecting with The Indytaker at ringside. The other Dragon ate a double superkick at ringside as well. Back in the ring, Matt lifted Bobby for a package piledriver, which he delivered after Nick hit a superkick. After the pinfall, things are evened up to one fall a piece.

The Young Bucks won the second fall in about 13:30.

The Bucks hit their bucklebomb/enzugiri, but O'Reilly came back with a brainbuster. O'Reilly locked Matt in the armbar and Bobby flew off the top with a diving headbutt onto Matt before diving onto Nick at ringside. Matt reversed into a near-fall rollup, but got caught in O'Reilly's guillotine choke. Matt looked like he was fading, but he held Kyle in position for Nick to take him out with a 450 splash off the top rope. The Bucks connected with The Meltzer Driver (yes, that’s what it's called. It's a springboard 450 spike piledriver. Yup.) but the referee was pulled out of the ring before the three-count. The Bucks looked for More Bang, but O'Reilly managed to catch a triangle choke and force the submission to win the third fall and the match.

reDRagon beat The Young Bucks in about 20:00(ish) to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

A plethora of replays aired before The Bucks were shown in the ring disappointed with the loss. All of a sudden, Tomasso Ciampa ran back down to the ring and laid out both Bucks with high knees and Project Ciampa. Ciampa decked someone who tried to stop him and began to dismantle the ring. He pulled the mats back and hung Nick up on the top turnbuckle before driving him down with a neckbreaker onto the boards. Nigel called for help and the feed ended…

Opinionated View- ROH you are so fucking stupid putting the belt back on that untalented pile of shit couldn't even main event a back yard show spot monkey no charisma no commercial look. ROH you already have a boring TV show and now you an awful world champion. I don't know if I will keep watching.
