WWE Raw Preview

WWE RAW is live tonight from Kansas City, Missouri.
Tonight is the go-home show for this Sunday’s WWE Payback PPV.

Advertised for the show is Braun Strowman vs. Kalisto in a Dumpster Match, the first Dumpster Match since WrestleMania XIV in 1998.

Opinionated View- Such stupid booking. Kalisto has been a jobber since dropping the US title so we know Strowman is going to kill him. And why is this a dumpster match? Oh because last week Strowman threw him in a dumpster it's still stupid! But hey this is WWE and its Strowman who sucks so they can only do squash matches with him and now they are doing stupid to sill cover his talent level of ZERO.

Impact Wretling Spoilers From 4/22 Taping

JB is still suspended indefinitely, so Josh & Pope are still announcing with Dave Penzer back again for the in-ring introductions. These will air on May 12th.

4-way X division match: Caleb Konoley vs Desmond Xavier vs Andrew Everett vs Matt Sydal. Everett pins Desmond with the Frankenrama.
Angelina Love w/Davey vs Alisha w/Eddie Edwards. Eddie is using crutches from “last week’s” attack. While the ref is distracted by Davey outside, Angelina gets brass knucks & hits Alicia in the back, but she’s caught & disqualified. Eddie comes in to check on his wife, but is slapped by Angelina, & Davey hits him with a crutch to his bad leg. Referees & other officials come to finally break things up. During the break, JB confirms Impact will be taping from Mumbai, India in May & the next tapings in Orlando would begin with Slammivesary on July 2nd.
A tournament match for the vacant GFW championships. Really? Why? Anyways: Impact Tag Team Champions LAX w/Diamanté, Konann, & Homicide vs Garza Jr & Laredo Kid. Crazy action with Diamente getting a top rope rana on Garza behind the ref’s back leading to LAX hitting their blockbuster into a powerbomb finish. Hopefully this will lead to some “unification” of both titles.
GFW championship match: Magnus vs Alberto El Patron. Long match with lots of near falls. Alberto gets Magnus to tap to the cross-arm breaker to become the new GFW champion.
KM & Kongo Kong w/Sienna & Laurel vs Mahabali Shera & Braxton Sutter w/Allie. Kong ends up walking out on KM & carries Laurel with him. Shera pins KM with the Sky High. The main event will be an Ultimate X match with Low Ki defending against Andrew Everett & Trevor Lee.
Xplosion Match: Suicide vs Desmond Xavier. Xavier wins with a corkscrew Swanton Bomb.
Back to Impact: Kongo Kong w/Laurel Van Ness vs Braxton Sutter w/Allie. Kongo wins a short match with a Driver move. KM & Sienna come out after to attack before Shera comes out for the save. Sutter challenges Kongo & KM to a tag match next week. I think that was the match that was taped earlier.
Officials come to ring with wreaths & black covers for the ring posts. LAX are all out to somber music. Konnan says this will be symbolic of all of the teams in the GFW tournament. He pie faces a man with an American flag. VOW come down & clear LAX from the ring.
Magnus appears to join the announce team. Up next it’s EC3 vs “The Cowboy,” James Storm. Storm tries to use a belt but Magnus takes it from him & gets in Storm’s face. Dave, Earl, & Bruce Pritchard run out to send Magnus to the back. Ethan goes out to get the belt & referee Stifler tries to take it away & gets shoved down. Ethan then takes the belt, takes Stifler’s shirt off and starts to beat Brian with it. Magnus comes back to attack Storm & gets in EC3’s face. Bruce comes down & tells them to knock it off & now there’s no main event for Slammiversary. Next week it’ll be a 3 way with Storm, EC3, & Magnus. Bruce says he told EC3 a few weeks ago to look into the mirror & find himself, now he says EC3 should go to the back & find his balls. EC3 attacks Bruce before Al Snow & other officials pull him away.
JB announces he’s been reinstated & he’s hired an attorney: Joseph Park. Park proposes a tag team with him & JB vs Josh & a partner of his. Josh leaves & JB will call the main event.
Ultimate X 3 way Championship Match: Andrew Everett vs Trevor Lee vs Low Ki. Shane Helms is out with Trevor, as usual. Low Ki may have hurt his right at one point after punching a chair into Lee’s face. Helms goes to the top & does a fantastic looking swinging neck breaker onto Everett. The finish comes with Low Ki climbing up to the top of the structure while Lee & Everett are scaling the ropes, Low Ki claims to the middle & kicks Trevor & Adam off & gets the X division title.

Josh & The Pope are calling the action.
1. FALLAH BAH & Mario Bokara vs VOW-Veterans of War Wilcox & Mayweather Wilcox & Bah trade shoulder blocks with Wilcox knocking finally getting Bah out after numerous attempts by both in an impressive big men collision. Bah has a lot of charisma & I think he’ll have an eventual good face run.) VOW wins with a modified 3D. Good match.

5. “The Lone Wolf” Davey Richards w/Angelina Love vs Suicide. Davey wins another good long match with the Shining Wizard.

Alberto said that he didn’t want to get Paige in trouble. She’s in San Antonio Texas and this is his house! He took a seven hour flight to get to Impact tonight. Prichard announces that the X division match will be the main event and makes it a 6-way match. He puts Sonjay Dutt in the match. After Prichard makes his announcement, Lee and Helms go after Dutt and Everett but they fend them off. The X division title is left in the ring and Everett and Sonjay pick up the title at the same time and stare each other down.

Crimson talks about he is now a father and how having a son, has made him more driven to be a better man. The video ends with hype for Crimson's return to Impact next week, in his new Veterans of War team with Gunner.

KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Rosemary (c) vs. ODB
ODB starts brawling with Rosemary early on. She dominates the early going. Rosemary retreats to the outside and tries to bait ODB inside the ring but fails. Mathews says that Impact is live on SpikeTV UK and that Borash and Pope are embarrassing the company.... The crowd starts chanting "Josh is Boring".
Test of strength early on between Lashley and Storm, that leads to Lashley taking over with a lariat, shoulder tackle and neck breaker. Mathews on commentary, compares himself doing play by play during a Lashley match to JR calling Steve Austin's matches..... Lashley stays in control over Storm until James is thrown over the top rope, and skins the cat. Storm gets back in the match by clotheslining Lashley to the outside..... EC3 then makes his way to ringside, while Storm is brawling with Lashley on the outside. Mathews offers Lashley a beer bottle to use against Storm. Meanwhile, Lashley and Storm battle to the opposite side and Bobby ends up suplexing Storm onto the steel steps, as the show heads to break.

SIX WAY MATCH FOR THE X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Trevor Lee (c) w/Shane Helms vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Andrew Everett vs. Suicide vs. Dezmond Xavier vs. Low-Ki
Low-Ki is the final participant introduced. He is wearing a "Hitman" themed suit with black leather gloves. It's a black suit with a red tie. He doesn't pull a Cesaro and tear his way out of it. He wears it throughout the match. Frantic pace from start to finish here. Sonjay Dutt does the first innovative move with an 4 man assisted tornado DDT, where he leaps off of 4 wrestlers at the same time. Moments later, All six men execute a simultaneous dropkick, where no one connects and it leads to a standoff. Trevor Lee then gets dropkicked by all 5 of his competitors at the same time. The action now heads to the outside with all six men taking to the air. Dezmond Xavier has a real impressive show of athleticism, as he heads to the air and hits a springboard corkscrew plancha to the outside. As the show heads to it's final break.
After the break, Trevor Lee has grounded Andrew Everett inside the ring. It's made note of on commentary that Sonjay Dutt's eye has been swollen shut. A close up shows that indeed, his right eye has swelled up the size of a golf ball. The commentators are unsure if he can continue this match. Back in the ring, Lee and Everett are still going at it. Evenly contested between the two while the other competitors are currently absent from the action. Minutes later, Everett hits a springboard elbow on Lee. Trevor rebounds and sends Andrew to the outside. Lowki tries to make his way back in but he is discarded quickly by Lee. Trevor is then contested by Suicide but he suffers the same fate. Lee turns his attention back to Everett but this time, Andrew gets the better of him with a Pele kick. Everett delivers the same to Low-Ki. A one eyed Sonjay Dutt is back in and starts superkicking everyone. Suicide takes out Dutt. Trevor Lee then hits the collision course on Suicide. Low-Ki breaks up the potential 3 count with a double foot stomp. Low-Ki loses the suit jacket and tries to finish off Lee but is sent to the outside. Suicide and Trevor go at it before Low-Ki and Dezmond get back into the action. Dezmond hits a great looking 619 from the ringpost. Low-Ki is knocked down and Sonjay flies off the top rope onto him, and gets a near fall. Frantic finish involving all six men. Suicide hits the suicide plunge on 4 men on the outside. Everett then leaps onto all 5 men with a shooting star press. Andrew tries to go to the top rope but is entangled with Xavier. After a pretty aerial display of evasion by both men. Everett hits two frankendrivers. One on Dezmond and the other on Trevor Lee. Everett tries to head to the top rope to finish off Lee. Low-Ki does a springboard martial arts kick and knocks Everett down and out. Low-Ki then hits a double foot stomp on Trevor Lee and wins The X Division Championship.
Low-Ki wins The Six Way Match to capture The X Division Championship
After the match, While Low-Ki celebrates with his newly won championship. Mathews and Borash stand up and start bickering. Pope gets fed up and walks away when Mathews insults him. JB then gets in Mathews face and strikes him down. The show ends with Low-Ki posing on the ramp way while some fans start chanting JB.

Vince McMahon Not of Fan of Broken Hardy Gimmick

Earlier this week, there was a report that claimed WWE’s plan is to use the “Broken Hardys” gimmick, and that the company was negotiating with Anthem to make it happen.

However, Sportskeeda now reports that the delay in WWE using the gimmick has nothing to do with the potential legal action or negotiations to buy the rights. The site reports that Vince McMahon is not a fan of the gimmick and chose not to use it when he brought the brothers back. Many on the writing team are big fans of the Broken gimmick, and have been pushing for the company to use it.

The site then claims that due to the chants and reactions from the crowds, that McMahon is now open to using to the Broken gimmick once the current incarnation of The Hardy Boyz has run its course. Word is that nothing would happen until they drop the tag titles, with the company eying a Bray Wyatt vs. Broken Matt program. Vince McMahon reportedly sees Jeff as a top guy.

Opinionated View- I don't buy for one second we will ever seen the true Broken Matt in WWE. They might dilute it into some WWE version.  But this shouldn't shock anyone. Vince hates anything that isn't a WWE creation and he hates things that don't fit his box of "Sports Entertainment" should be.
