1/26 WWE NXT Report

American Alpha vs. Blake & Murphy (w/ Alexa Bliss)
Jordan immediately takes down Murphy, then Gable goes to work on both men, landing arm drags and head scissors until Murphy feigns a knee injury and takes out the leg of Gable. Blake and Murphy work the leg over for several minutes in their corner. Jordan gets the hot tag and goes crazy. Grand Amplitude gets the win for AA.Winners: American Alpha via pinfall (Grand Amplitude)

Emma and Dana Brooke are backstage and they're trashing Carmella for lacking skills and losing to Blue Pants, as they probably should.
- We see an Asuka video package.
Nia Jax (w/ Eva Marie) vs. Liv Morgan)
Nia hits a Breaking Ground Slam, and applies a Cobra Clutch. Liv Morgan gets out and dropkicks Nia Jax, and goes for a guillotine that Nia shucks off and sidewalk slams. Leg drop, that's it.
Winner: Nia Jax via pinfall (Leg Drop)
- Enzo, Cass and Carmella is backstage, and Carmella says she'll beat Emma next week all by herself. Enzo and Cass trash Dash and Dawson before leaving.
- We get a great Baron Corbin video package.
Bull Dempsey vs. Alex Riley
Riley pummels Dempsey and hits him with a neckbreaer for two. Riley connects with a spinebuster and a big knee and gets the win.
Winnner: Alex Riley via pinfall (knee)

Riley looked aggressive and heelish. After the match he says he's had a lot of time while he's been hurt to watch NXT. NXT showed Zayn's return date and what Apollo Crews had for breakfast, but nothing on him. This was a good promo.
Elias Samson vs. John Skyler
Samson is incredibly boring, and I can't tell if it's his fault or not. This is really one sided and Samson wins with a neckbreaker.
Winner: Elias Samson via pinfall (Neckbreaker)
- The Hype Bros are backstage talking about their match with the Vaudevillains next week. Apparently Mojo Rawley watches Zack Ryder sleep.
Number One Contender Match
Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin
Corbin and Joe both get sent outside early, and Joe trips Zayn to drag him out. The two brawl all the way back in the ring, going back and forth. Corbin pops back up and takes out Zayn as we go to our last commercial.
Zayn sends both men outside and hits his huge flip over the top rope onto Joe and Corbin. Back inside the ring, Zayn barely kicks out of Deep Six by Corbin. Joe hits a double senton on both opponents, then a powerslam on Zayn for a two count. Zayn impressively hits Corbin with a Blue Thunder Bomb for two!
Joe pulls Zayn out and puts him to sleep with a Kokina Clutch outside, but walks into End of Days! Zayn breaks up the count. Corbin loses it and beats the hell out of Zayn, but eats a corner Exploder and a Helluva Kick, but Joe pulls Zayn out! Zayn locks a Sharpshooter on Corbin, then Joe applies a crossface at the same time and Corbin taps out!!
The referee is trying to make a decision, and William Regal comes to the ring and says he's going to have to go review the tape. We don't get an answer as we go off the air.

New Heat on Lana?

– It appears that Lana may have more heat from WWE for something she said. The rumor was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio last night, with Dave Meltzer saying that the Diva said something that caused a “new round” of heat backstage. Meltzer said that it “was probably nothing, except everyone is talking about it” as something that has “added to her legacy” in terms of being in the WWE doghouse.
Lana has been the focus of stories about backstage heat over the last several months, starting with her going public with her engagement to Rusev forcing the company to change storyline directions and continuing when she publicly called out Paige on Twitter and called her a bully, which sparked a social media feud between them.
It was noted that Rusev is well-liked backstage and he’s in good standing, but whatever Lana said caused a new wave of anger toward her. It was noted that he wasn’t sure whether that had anything to do with Lana’s presence in the Rock’s segment.

Update-
– Konnan is backing up a report from yesterday which claims that Lana has a new wave of heat on her after a recent incident. On his MLW Radio podcast, Konnan said that there was an incident at an airport that brought the new round of animosity down on Lana.
According to Konnan, the incident saw Lana yelling at Rusev in front of people, and that Rusev had some heat on himself as well for not standing up to her over it.

Opinionated View- Look if Dave and or Konnan told me the sky was blue and water was wet I wouldn't believe them... But if this is true it means you get heat in the WWE for fighting with you fiancé in public and trying not to fight with your fiancé  in public.

WWE Confirms Nakamura is Coming to NXT

Shinsuke Nakamura is coming to NXT
Yes, the rumors are true. Shinsuke Nakamura is coming to WWE NXT.
At Wednesday night's NXT taping at Full Sail University in Orlando, Fla., a video announcing the impending arrival of the Japanese standout played for the live crowd, sending shockwaves through the arena and, moments later, the social media world.
Complete NXT coverage | Watch NXT on WWE Network
Nakamura, a 14-year veteran of the squared circle, has been a leading star in the New Japan promotion since 2002. Renowned for his striking and submission ability, as well as his unorthodox charisma, Nakamura's devastating Bomaye knee strike has felled many opponents and his smash mouth style has earned him the nickname The King of Strong Style. A three-time IWGP Champion — the same once title held by the likes of Vader, The Great Muta and AJ Styles — Nakamura is the youngest competitor to win that championship, capturing it for the first time at 23. He has taken on a who's who of the best grapplers in the world in his career, facing the likes of Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami, WWE Performance Center Head Coach Matt Bloom and The Beast Incarnate himself, Brock Lesnar.
Rumors of Nakamura coming to WWE first started in early January, along with gossip about AJ Styles and Bullet Club members Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows returning to America. Reports about Styles became truth during the 2016 Royal Rumble Match when The Phenomenal One entered at No. 3. Now, The King of Strong Style has decreed that he will be stepping between the yellow ropes in the not-so-distant future.
What does Shinsuke Nakamura have planned for NXT and The Superstars of Tomorrow? Find out by tuning into NXT, every Wednesday at 8/7 C, only on WWE Network!

Vince McMahon reportedly met with Batista at the Royal Rumble regarding a WrestleMania appearance

Former WWE Champion Dave “Batista” Bautista met with Vince McMahon backstage at the Royal Rumble in Orlando, Florida, according to ProwrestlingSheet.com. The story states that Vince made a pitch to get Batista for a one-off, non-wrestling appearance at WrestleMania. Batista passed, but the door was left open for additional creative ideas.

Opinionated View- For god's sake. Did WWE block out how badly his last run FAILED! He clearly hated the company and was there for a paycheck. The fans hated him and he seemed to despise the fans. And no that just mean he can be a heel because his work would still suck. Plus again WWE has enough old guys running around!!!!
